The Secretary of State  for Culture Media & Sport added some of the Beach huts and Cafe (Clock Cafe) , South Cliff Gardens to the Statutory List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest at Grade II. Click on PDF File (right) for full details which make a good read.
The listing includes the Clock Cafe itself, two groups of 11 beach chalets below it and associated structures such as the stone steps and balustrade.

THE second of the Scarborough Belles was unveiled on Thursday the 24th of April. The Bathing Belle put her toe into the water for the first time at 11am, but the rain didn't dampen the joy of the event which ends a six-year campaign by Scarborough & District Civic Society to promote public art in the town.
The sculpture needs further work before it can be permanently displayed so it will be returning to Scarborough in about two weeks time.
The Scarborough Belles were designed as a pair by artist and blacksmith Craig Knowles.
